General Work Visa Requirements:

1. Certificate from the Department of Labour

A certificate confirming that no suitable South African citizen or permanent resident is available for the job.

2. Proof of SAQA Qualifications Evaluation

A certificate from the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) evaluating your foreign qualifications.

3. Contract of Employment

A signed employment contract from the employer offering the job in South Africa.

4. Proof of Paid Visa Fee

Receipt showing you’ve paid the relevant visa application fee.

5. Proof of Financial Means Before First Paycheck

Bank statements or financial documents showing you can support yourself until you receive your first salary.

6. Police Clearance Certificate

Issued by the police or relevant authority in your home country (and any other country where you’ve lived for more than 12months in the last 5 years).

Waver Requirements:

1. Appointment Letter

A formal letter from the employer confirming your job offer, position, and expected start date.

2. Company Profile

A brief document outlining the company’s background, industry, services/products, registration details, and contact information. Thishelps demonstrate the legitimacy and operational scale of the employer.

3. Curriculum Vitae (CV)

An updated resume that includes your personal details, educational background, work experience, skills, and references. It shouldreflect your qualifications and relevance to the job offered.

4. Contract of Employment (Service Level Agreement - SLA)

A signed agreement between you and the employer that outlines the terms and conditions of employment, including salary, jobduties, duration of contract, and other responsibilities

5. Online Application Form

A completed visa application form, typically filled out online via the Department of Home Affairs or VFS Global portal. This formincludes your personal information, visa type, and supporting details.

6. Motivation Letter

A personal letter written by the applicant explaining the reasons for applying for the visa, outlining the job opportunity, anddemonstrating commitment to complying with immigration laws. It should also express the value you bring to the employer and theSouth African job market.

7. Passport Copy (All Pages, Including Bio Page and Visa Stamps)

Clear and complete copies of your passport, including the front (bio page), back cover, and all stamped/visa pages. This is requiredto verify your identity and travel history.
